The real difference is not in the tool itself, but in the etiquette and craft of using it.
How do we befriend AI?
Learn the art of prompting: the clearer your question, the better the answer.
Provide context: state your purpose, background, examples, and the format you want.
Delegate tasks, not judgment: let AI help with ideas, drafts, research points, and checklists—while the final decision remains yours.
Verification is essential: always re-check critical information, figures, and references.
Upgrade your skills: working effectively with AI is no longer merely an “edge”; it is gradually becoming a “requirement.”
I do not advocate total dependence on AI, but it can certainly become a reliable companion in daily work—especially for learning, writing, planning, and productivity.
Do not fear artificial intelligence, and do not be swept into unnecessary anxiety. Treat it as a facilitative resource: simplify your tasks, strengthen your efforts, and keep moving forward. Provision is promised by Allah—our responsibility is to continue striving with sincerity and consistency.
May Allah be our Guardian and Helper.
